Entering the gym for the first time can be a daunting experience, especially for women. The rows of machines, racks of weights, and the sight of seasoned gym-goers can make anyone feel intimidated. However, with the right approach and mindset, the gym can become a place of empowerment and growth. To help you kickstart your fitness journey on the right foot, let’s dive into five common mistakes beginners, particularly women, make at the gym, and how you can avoid them:

1 Skipping Warm-Up and Cool Down:
One of the most crucial aspects of any workout is the warm-up and cool down. Yet, it's often the part that beginners tend to neglect. Warming up prepares your body for the upcoming physical activity by increasing blood flow to your muscles and loosening your joints, thus needed to actually build muscle!! Similarly, cooling down helps your body gradually return to its resting state, reducing muscle soreness and preventing injury. Incorporate dynamic stretches and light cardio into your warm-up and static stretches into your cool down routine to maximize the benefits.
